Honda Walk Behind blower Fuel Problems

    Ok well i need some help With my blower. Its only a year old. I bought it last year (around this time) Not even a Full year old. Already having problems. Its a cub cadet blower with a honda gc160 motor on it. After it warms up maybe 20 -30 mins of use. It Recently started to stall. I realize every time this happens the fuel return (to the tank) has stopped.

    When it was working Fine, the fuel return (to the tank) PUMPS back to the tank RAPIDLY!

    I need some help i really dont want to drop it off because any shop around here has a 2-3 week delay.

    I have another blower but i still need this one!

    Also if anyone knows anything about Echo blowers i have a PB-500 blower where earlier it was bogging out at full throttle.. Used it a little while longer and then it wouldnt even start!

    On the Cub, Check the fuel cap vent and the fuel strainer/filter. If both are good the fuel pump could be the next likely cause.

    haha I was hooping you were going to come on here! I took off the tank. drained everything. Nothing in the gas strainer is clean. Nothing too noticeable.
    looks like i may need a pump.. I might go back out in the garage and check the carb out also... havent really checked the fuel cap vent yet.

    Just some food for thought, Both Briggs and Kohler maybe others use the same fuel pump. Stens and Rotary has the same pump aftermarket, So there's no need in paying twice the price for a Honda packaged pump.


    Oh..... I'm always on here, Posting depends on how tired my fingers are.....

    I literally just got back inside. Opened it up a bit. Looked at the carb bowl it was clean as day.. the float moves freely..Everythings clean. i dont know whats up... You think the fuel pump could of went out/ is on its way this soon?? And thanks for that info i will remember that if i have to get a new one.

    Also dropped the tank. Rinsed it out... gonna let it dry over night.... blow it in the morning and probably reinstall it tomorrow afternoon.

    With this crap ethanol fuel we're stuck with, It's anyone's guess. If your seeing fuel through the bypass then suddenly not and everything is clean including the cap vent there's not much left.....

    ok i will try that and hope it works!
    lol that means im gonna have to take everything off again.... fun fun!

    Starting to think the pump isnt the problem... Because we used it for maybe 30-45 mins again then it just started stalling.. Still pumps gas into the tank... Think the carb needs to be adjusted. I just dont know how to do it. So imma have to drop it off and bear the delay of 7-10 days....
