I stepped into a hole this morning and heard my ankle pop. Its sore, but I can walk fine. I'm hoping it is just a little sprain and soreness. If it wasn't for my boots it probably would have been really bad. They have saved me several times in the past. This is the worst one yet.

    Lesson to learn:
Keep your eyes open when out working. Be aware of everything around you if possible. Especially if your trimming. Make sure you have your boots tied tight so you have maximum support for yourself. Prevention keeps us out making money, stupidity lands us in the doctor's office getting a cast.

This is a reminder to everyone to beeeee careful!!!

Sorry to hear about your luck. Makes it wonder why so many people dont use PSE(personal safety equip)on a regular basis? Monday the same bug tackled me, jammed my wrist at full time job. We were moving field hockey goal standards for the team, and the goal stopped and my wrist didnt.Got x-rays small bone in wrist moved slightly into the carteliege. Not fun!!!!!So I'm off work possibly two weeks.Take some advil also, that seems to help.:blob2:

Common to sprain on rotational injuries. Do above and take Advil for swelling. Did you get an x-ray?

Nope, no x-ray. Ray. haha, just had to do that.

I'm icing now, and I never thought about the advil. I'll go pop a few now.

If the swelling in your leg doesn't go down in a couple of days, I would go have it checked out. I twisted my ankle going down a flight of stairs one time and didn't make a big deal about it....until a few days later when my ankle still hurt and was still swollen. I went to the doctor and had x-rays taken. Found out that I had busted the bursa sac between my leg and my ankle. And all the swelling was the fluid from the bursa sac. I ended up going to a specialist that was able to do surgery on my ankle and get everything back in place. So keep and eye on it, just in case. ;)

    Hope it's ok!

Rice and Advill = good juju
Alcohol = bad juju. You might stumble on that ankle again!

    Good Luck!

    I'm a wuss.
I might be tempted to get an x-ray.

    Update:

When I went to bed last night I couldn't move my ankle. I figured to be in trouble. When I woke up this morning everything was working fine. Its a little sore but I'm ok.
