Hosta Help?!?!?!

    I have this area below that the homeowner wants all hosta planted. The diameter is 20 ft in one area but 15 in another. How many hosta do you think I can get in there? Thank You!

    For that area, I'd say one for every 2ft sq. To make it look real nice, mulch and edge it.

    id do less but add some annual color...just my .02 impatients do well in the shade

    Do I see reminiscence of day-lilies in the first picture? Depending on the hostas, some can have circumferences of four feet. Expect 4-8 years to maturity. The problem I foresee is tree roots in competition. Generous organic media will help to establish hostas. Unsure how you will be able to mix (till) with tree roots.
