We now have two 52" mowers (one Z and one hydro floating deck w/b) for the accessible, open areas. Have a 36" for areas with small gates. The 52" is the best size for us as it works on any property size we have to service. Our smallest properties are still done with 52's, as well as acreage lots. Works great for us, but its all in your local needs. Most big shot LCO's here use 60" Z's and 48" w/b's, I feel 60" is too big on smaller places especially when using a bagging system whether for grass or leaves.
52 for versatility for us :cool2:

72" can cut lots of grass and go fast. This makes me lots of money payup .

There is no such thing as "one size fits all" when it comes to mowers. We have 21,37,60 and it takes all three sizes to get our jobs done.

My 60" Dixie cuts about 90% of my total square footage.

The big guys with their fleets of ztrs are impressive, but I've found a nice niche for my 36's doing fenced yards and smaller or very hilly properties. The majority of these are clustered so I can mow 5 or 10 places without moving the truck. Works out great and I don't have too many competitors for these jobs so I've kept them 10+ years now. Many of the neighbors chose me if they decide to hire a LCO so each season gets a little better.
