    O.K. Here's a good one.

I had a guy ask me the other day how many Walk Behind Commercial mowers were sold in the U.S. each year.

Well, I didn't have a good idea and I still don't. He said he had a report (I think he said it was OPEI) that stated there were 48,000 sold.

That seems WAY TOO LOW to me but I didn't really have a clue what the number would be.

So the question is; How many Walk Behind Commercial belt drive and hydro walk behind mowers are sold in the U.S. every year? . That would be all sizes 32"-72".

Does anyone have a guess or something to back up a number?

    Two things...

...why wouldn't you consider something commercial smaller than 32 inches?

Secondly, the last manufacturer (I think and don't quote me on this) that made a 72 inch WB was Scag and they discontinued them. As for total number sold, I would not have a clue.
