So I really would like to turn off the full time running lights and have it so I can control which lights are on at what time.

How do I got about doing this?

    BTW, truck is a '99 Chevy 2500

Cut the wire and wire in a dash mounted toggle. Why do you want to turn them off?

or, just take the bulbs out. I have seen that done to people around here before. Won't take you 5 minutes to do both sides.

I dodn't think 2 brake light bulbs would drain the battery, Besides, don't those running lights just come one when the tranny is in gear. meanin, they are not on in park. The do on mine

Yeh why disable them? I like em, and theyre not hurting anything. Theyre only on in drive and reverse.

you may want to check the laws because the reason they have the lights come on all the time is for safety, so others can see you coming.

    Just a thought though

Well if you just want to turn them off every now and then all you have to do is... while the truck is running push the dome override button in 4 times, and then you will hear a ding from the dash and there off. Every time you turn the truck off then then back on you will have to do this again.
