I have a customer who wants me to clean out a tree line... Which includes cutting all the dead out thinning the stuff thats alive and taking out a few shaggy trees that are still alive. I have never done a project like this so i dont even know where to really start for price wise... also once the tree line is cleaned up he wants all the dirt to be leveled out and maybe some bushes installed. If anyone could give me any pointers or advice i would really appreciate it! Thanks

Where are you going to get rid of all the stuff you're cutting?
For jobs like that, I usually charge an hourly rate - then add on the cost of dumping the brush and trees - equipment rental, etc.

One other thing is that you want to be careful not to underbid a job like that - it's miserable work knowing that you aren't making enough $.
