I see a lot of guys that talk about bidding on a HOA. How do you guys get invited to bid? Iv'e tried to get into some of these places and they all told me that they take care of it themselves. Are they full of sh!t or do a lot of places take care of it themselves? Or is there a association that you have to become a member of?

Word of mouth,i started it was the subdivision that we mow in,they are a pain every year you have diff board members, instead of keeping 1 person happy you have a group.

It sure doesn't hurt to advertise in their newsletters. The ad costs (for my area) are almost nil, $10 here $15 there. If you don't get the HOA, you should get some of the home owners living in the neighborhood, and if you get enough who cares about the HOA.
