I have added fert/weed control this year to our list of services. I am having a tuff time calculating our cost and profit. What formula do you guys use? What info do you include to come up with your pricing? I have been told by a couple of companies in my area that if you multiply your cost by 5 then you are doing pretty good. I want to know down to the last cent what my profit is but do not know how to get those numbers. Can someone help me please?

Don't forget equipment expenses and insurance. Or do you figure these expenses into your labor rates?

You might want to try pricing per sq ft. $2.50 per 1000 sq ft to $4.00 per 1000 sq ft plus stop charge of $22.00 to $25.00 per stop is close to the prices we get from most of our competitors. This all depends on your program and the value added services that are included. Do you measure the lawn when you sell the program? Good luck
