I'm 16 and have a business in my neighborhood with 16 accounts and am planning on hiring some help next spring. I was just wondering how you go about paying your emloyees? By the hour, job, etc. Any help would be appreciated

I pay by the hour starting when we pull out in the morning and ending when we get home.

    By the hour.

$15 an hour to mow, mulch, etc.
$22.50 an hour to supervise mowing crews

Perhaps so. I pay what I do so I don't get phone calls at night is my #1 reason why. I pay for reliability, consistency, quality control, and attention-to-detail on all of our properties (163) at present.
