I'M NEW TO THE GAME. I STARTED LAST APRIL & JUST DON'T KNOW HOW EARLY TO CONTACT MY POTENTIAL & CURRETN CUSTOMERS FOR THE NEXT SEASON. I KNOW IN MY AREA WHEN MARCH HITS EVERY LANDSCAPER IN THE AREA POUNDS THE NEWSPAPER BOXES WITH FLIERS & ADVERTISIMENT. I JUST DON'T WANT TO LOSE CUSTOMERS DUE TO CONTACTING THEM TO LATE OR EARLY-

CAN ANYONE SUGGEST WHAT A GOOD TIME IS TO CONTACT MY CUSTOMERS IN THE WINTER?

SHOULD I CALL OR MAIL A LETTER?

    THANKS

as a general rule we never lose contact we go out once a month to all our customers prop. to check on them and talk with there owners. no we do not charge for these off season visits.. we do however get some side work from these visits and we also keep "good" customer relations therefore we do not lose customers in the off season......

Some around here send quotes out on the first of Jan. I have learned that most of these get thrown in the trash. I give them till at least feb1st.
