I like the FS-90, I currently have 3 of them and 1 FS-110 and I would take the 90 almost any day over the 110 because, it's lighter weight and almost the same amount of power.

I have a FS 85 and it's a great trimmer that starts easy, has plenty of power, is reliable, and I'm sure the 90 is just as good.

I had a Stihl FS85 for many years. It performed great for seven seasons, but finally gave up about two months ago. I replaced it with a Stihl FS90R. Both have the Autocut 25-2 bump head trimmer head.

The FS85 is a 2 cycle that is no longer available -- or, so I understand. Some Stihl dealer can confirm this understanding, or refute it. I have not seen one in any dealer this season, only the 4-mix trimmers.

The FS90 has shown itself to be a very good piece of equipment. I'm very pleased with it. It starts better than my FS85 ever did, starting on first-pull every time. It has very good throttle response, and just as much, probably more power than my FS85. I use it for turf trimming before lawn mowing. For that purpose it works very well. I'm running 50:1 Amsoil fuel mix.

Be prepared for a different sound when starting the engine, different than a typical 2 cycle.

Love it, love it, love it...about to buy a second one.

I have the articulating hedger and edger attachments for it as well. It's a snap to change and so versatile.

One of my favorite pieces of equipment.

my fs90 is great. It honestly pops on the first pull without chocking the trimmer. I did notice when it gets good and warm after running a while it bogs for just a second until I rev it then its fine. This "bogging" only happens once or maybe twice in a day of trimming and mowing. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to get another 4 mix- stick with the proper oil and gas mixture and you're fine!

I feel the same way. I actually bought my second one two weeks ago and also bought the articulating hedge trimmer to go with it. im also planning on buying the edger attachment too. easy starting without choking it. just pump the bulb and starts on first pull everytime. you will not be disappointed.

I don't have the fs90, but I do have the 110 edger, and br 600 blowers, all 4mix and they run great. They all start on the 1st pull.

Someone said to get shindy instead of Stihl, no way, shindy was great at one time but not anymore.

I just can't decide if I want to go with the Stihl fs 90's, or Echo 265T. I have heard good things about the Echo's, but I sure like my Stihl's.
