How late can you fertilize?

Started a new lawn about a month ago and it's close to cutting height but I'm planning to just let it grow. I'm in the north eastern corner of Maryland. We actually reached 70 and got a ton of rain over the last few days, but the forecast for the next ten days is partly sunny, no rain and highs in the low 40's. Is there any value in putting down fertilizer at this point?

Sounds like you have the same weather forecast as us. The later one applies a "winterizer" fert app. = the greener the lawns will be next spring. National company here applies as late as early December. Des Moines, Iowa.

Thanks guys. Soon as this crazy wind dies down I'll get the spreader back out.
