How long do I need to wait after several days of light rain - to seed Fescue?

Are you slit seeding or broadcasting?

When the soil is dry enough that you can work it - either with a slit seeder or other means of cultivation. Drying time will depend on temperature, sun light, and wind.

Slit seeder - from I've read/hear it needs to be fairly dry in order to allow the machine to work properly. Is this correct? (It's a shame I couldn't get the seed down before this rain!).

    If using a slit seeder:

If you had a lite rain and you wait a day the soil should be about right. You want the soil moist, but not saturated. If too wet it will just ball up and compact.
