about 2 and a half weeks ago. The guy that laid it said I could cut it but adjust the blades high. I have tall Fescue and the sod does seem to be rooted in most areas, but I'm sure it's not that deep. Should I wait 2 more weeks or can I clip the edges and not harm anything?

Hard to tell without looking at it. For the first time, I would say raise the deck as high as possible so that way hopefully you wont scalp an area of the lawn if it is not real level. I wouldn't cut lower than 3" to help keep weed seeds from sprouting. Also be careful when turning the mower so you don't create ruts or tear up the grass.
