I was just wondering how many of you that cut seasonal say April - Oct/Nov have accounts that pay up front or in full at the beginning of the season. I am only speaking of Residential. I have talked to a few companies locally that say a good portion of their clients do this.

    0% pay up front
75% pay within 15 days after getting the bill
    20% pay within 30 days
5 % are always 30-45 days behind. but they pay.

Most of mine pay once they get the get the bill. I have a few others that like to pay me each time I get done with their lawn if they are home.

Out of 30 customers, I have 6 pay up front for the whole season. Helps greatly for advertising and buying some things I need.

Thats exactly the same as mine, none pay up front, most pay a week or so after i mail out the bill, a few pay at the end of the month (i bill the 1st) and 1 or 2 always pay a month late, but they always do pay

Last year 2007 I had maybe 5-8% pay upfront for the whole season. This is great for money up front and these customers have been around for several years so they know what to expect. Good fit if you can do it.
