If you were going to buy a used zero turn, what is the maximum number of hours the mower could have on it and you would still buy?

I think, remember I THINK, the figure used for engines under 25 HP is 80 hours per HP, and 100 hours per HP over 25 HP, for max. life expectancy. Lots of other figures come into play as well...gen. condition of the machine, year, make, model, gas / diesel..etc..

    2 things I would consider:
    1. It would depend on the price.
    2. Shape of the mower itself.

If the mower itself is in pretty good shape a motor replacement wouldn't be to bad if you got it cheap enough.

If someone maintained equipment the way I do, I would consider a mower with close to 2000 hours on it if the price was right. If an idiot owned it, I probably would pass on it.
