I would say that you are taking steps in the right direction. Be knowledgeable about what you are doing, be clear, concise, and confident.

Do you have your company name/number on your truck?

    Flyers?

    Business Cards?

Are you a member of your local chamber of commerce?

What, if any, marketing are you doing?

UV been apprehensive about putting my name on the truck because of all the rust on the box. I think I'm going to just fill it with crap and bondo it.

I put slot of work into my new flyers and have gotten great response with them so far. 2 customers. little over 100 flyers.

just got my new icon the other day. need new cars.

not part of the chamber of commerce yet

flyers. Craig's list. place mats at a pancake house.

IMO I don't think flyers work, never had a call on a place mat, and I've been told that the chamber of commerce is overrated by a lawyer i work for. I've found odd people on craigs list.

At best Flyers have about two percent yield but there next to free.

I'm going to call a buddy of mine about the Chamber of Commerce in see how he did. I got a customer of the placemat so it work that time we'll see what does this time.

woohoo. up to 10 customers and several more properties. one being a realtor company.

Our local chamber of commerce does mixers... Good place to meet and greet and hand out cards.

The problem that I see with that is you're handing out cards to other business man not necessarily other customers

And every one of them has an office with grass, mulch, shrubs, sidewalks that need swept up and shoveled, etc. I think you would be surprised how many chamber of commerce members are interesting in supporting other chamber members.
