    just a check to see how many experienced guys we have compared to newbies. feel free to list the time you spent working for someone too. dont add the experience cutting for your grandma though. thanks.

    Are you casting doubt on the guys that have a profile that says they are 27, then the next day you hear them saying how they have been in business for 19 years?

    exactly. i have 6 years of experience being my own boss. i wanna know what the average is among my peers. also, it helps to know when taking advice from someone.

    Mowed with another co. for 4 years. Been my own boss for 5 now.

    I have owned my company for 21 years and was a grounds manager for A tourist attraction for 3 years prior.

    Im 36. Been at this since 18, but had a few years out of country with military deployment so I usually say 15.

    Owned my own for 7 of the 15, worked big guys and a few smaller operations in the past.
    Out of the remaining 8 years where I havent worked for myself 5 ofthose years has been spent in management/business development of someone else's company.

    This is year number 20 for me.

    My dad put an ad in the paper for me to start mowing for $10 / hour when I was 16. I still have the first yard I ever got a call on.

    wow thats pretty impressive. as far as i go, i have been mowing for as long as i can remember, however i have been owning my business since i was 17 and i am 19 now, so 3 years for this guy.
