i'm looking at getting about 20-30 evergreens for personal use.

i had a neighbor offor me $25 trees that are.

About 5-10 years old depending on which ones. 5-10ft depending which ones.

he's just dig them out with a skid and put them on a trailer for me. my dad has a skid so i'm sure i could figure out how to get them planted.

or i could order them from the county. they come in 1 gallon pots 15-18" for $7.25.
they have black hills spruce in the 24"-30" 2 gallon pots for $12.00

The smaller trees in containers are going to transplant better and be a lot less work. I'm assuming these are for a privacy screen, so it all really depends on how quickly you want privacy. And keep in mind that your neighbor could screw them up big time digging them out.

he has it as a business. so i'm sure he has some type of spade. he'd probably let me use the spade too if i wanted.

he didnt mentoin what species he had. i think he has a few different varietys.
