i'm doing a paver patio against a house, and i was wondering what is the highest i could go while playing it safe, so that no water enters the house.
i removed the first row of siding and put a layer, of Protecto-wrap followed by a layer of ice and water shield, on the wall and overlapping below onto the foundation.
i'm guessing 2" below foundation should be alright....yes/no?

I know when we back-fill a house the code in NC is dirt is to stay aleast 8In under the bottom plate on the foundation. that leave u 2in for top soil or mulch.
So I would say 6 in from the top of the paver to the bottom plate.
    But I could be wrong.
