Is there a chart showing how much a certain size deck can mow in 1 hour?, 8 hours.. I have two 60" decks but never had to use them for about 8 hours straight. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks I think this will help out alot. I'm bidding on a campground. It's all under snow right now and I've been told it's 28 acres, lots of trees, fire rings, and all the fun things to trim around. Bids are due next week with no time for the snow to melt. Just will figure high and hope for the best.

be careful using manufacturers numbers. They don't take into account any obstacles while mowing. Its calculated in straight runs with a certain % of overlap and time to turn...but how long is their one pass?

This method is quick and accurate, but not for real life.

size deck in inches multiply the max forward speed in mph, and divide this by 100.

Example

60 inch deck x 10mph = 600
divide by 100 = 6.0 acres/hr.

Now this assumes a straight line cut with no stops, obstacles, turns etc. I would subtract about a third to get a more realistic answer, so a 60inch would get on average about 4acres/hr max.
