I purchased a Troy Built Super Bronco 42inch deck last summer and want to get more yards this summer. I have 1 yard that is constant right now, but want to get at least 5-7 part time. I use a bolens 20 inch or so push mower to get close and a sthill residental trimmer.

How much faster could I mow with a walk-behind with skids to stand on? I was looking at a few eXmarks at a dealer this week. Or would I be better to keep the 42inch rider? It is lightly used and could probably sell it for a decent amount.

It really depends on how the yards are configured, i ran into this problem when upgrading to a lazer Z this year. If i can give you advice, get the biggest mower you can afford(If you want to do this as a job), that way you always have room to grow. Plus people seem to take you more seriously. What ever you do don't get store brand like cub-cadet/MTD products. My mower i got from cub cadet was shot after a year.
