I'm getting ready to seed my lawn with Scotts Southern Gold Tal Fesue in a couple of weeks. Help me make sure I've got enough seed. The front yard is 52'x62' which equals 3,224. If I buy a 25lb bag this will have a seeding rate of 7.75lb per 1,000 sq. ft. Is this enough?

Should I use a starter fertilizer? If not, then what would you suggest?

Also how do you calculate how much I would need?

I'm going to plug aerate, seed, fert, then water in and keep water for first 2-3 weeks.
