What is your best $money$ day aerating on a Saturday?

Maybe having a few lined up already but mostly selling door to door.

Here in the Seattle area the yards are so small and the houses so close together we can do a front yard in about 8 minutes for $25.00. Front and back averages $40 and takes 20 minutes. Less than the client could rent it for in two hours min rate. We can walk the aerator through a neighborhood averaging 10 houses before loading it.

Seems like a guy selling like me and an aerator (laborer) should do pretty well in a 10-hour day.

    How do you do it?

Think the most we ever made in one day aerating was around $3500 or so

How many machines? How many people? Door to Door?

That is sweet money! Aeration is the best money maker per day beleive in the lawn care biz.

One tow behind (36") and one WB (26")...2 people total. No door-to-door.

I used to aerate on Saturday's when I was 17. I'd get my dads burban, hook up the trailer and bring the aerator out. I'd have "X" amount of lawns lined up and then would double the amount of lawns by the end of the day through walk ups. At 17years old and bringing home $500 plus for the day was a big deal for me.

Now I aerate during the week, don't get any walk ups but I'm usually too busy to do them right then anywase.
