How much life do you get out of your belts?

Just curious to see what the others in this forum have to say about this topic.

Do you continue to buy the OEM belts after your warranties are up or do you move to a different after-market belt? Why?

How many hours do you average per belt for drive/or deck belts for the mower you use.

    Any input would be nice.

The only belts I usually replace are the engine to tranny belts. They are the shortest and usually have to work harder than any other belts. On my walkbehinds I usually have to replace them every couple of years or so. On my Dixie I usually get around 1200 hours out of all of the belts.

Oh yeah, I usually try to stick to the factory belts. They do seem to last a lot longer than aftermarket belts.
