I just received my lawn soil test results for this year and my K levels are still way down, around 200 when I am looking for 400 plus. My question is can I safely apply 4 pounds of potash (murate of potash) per 1,000 sf without causing lawn damage? This would be about 2.4 pounds of actual ingredient. Could I repeat the application later in the year around Thanksgiving? And wow the price of potash.

Thanks in advance for your help.

That is going to be one expensive treatment with the price of potash

Unless this is for a garden where it will be tilled in I would do it in several applications. One good thunderstorm and all of that will be in your neighbors yard or in the stream

You should notice on your soil test it says for 6 inches of soil. You canot get 6 inches down in turf, well not easily. Apply a little every 2 weeks, stretch it our foe a couple of month otherwise it will just go away
