How much psi in your sulky tire for w/b

    I have a scag hydro 52" 18hp vanguard..just replaced the velke tire (sulky)..............just wondering how much psi everyone puts in there tires
    of course low psi more comfortable to ride on .....more psi longer life out of tire..........looking for a middle psi ............any suggestions

    I can't tell you the exact psi, but I can tell you that when I used one, I liked to keep the tires just a bit soft. The absorbing of the shock - being easier on the knees, and the less vibration is well worth it.

    Hmm... The tire on my Velke is at... Who knows? I grease it and as long as the tire is hard I use it. If it needs air (never, well maybe once a long time ago) I put it in until the tire is hard and go.

    I use an airless, hard rubber tire.
    good ta go 24/7.

    tried one once and it left terrible ruts.

    I run as little air as possible. Velkes are a great way to wear out your knees, back etc. I also started wearing Z Coil (They actually have a spring on the heel.) shoes this year. My feet, knees feel great at the end of the day. They used feel totally worn out every night.
