My old toro 2 stroke is getting old, and i use it on one or 2 yards a week for a very little amount of time. I would like to replace it. My widow neighbor has an old john deere 21 inch walk behind with a kawasaki engine, electric start, side discharge, mulching plug, bagger plus blade brake clutch and 5 self propel speeds that would be perfect for my application. This unit has very low hours and once i added gas it started right up. It needs a few things though...

    1. carb cleaning
    2. has a small crack in the deck
    3. one of the wheels needs fixed

    how much is it worth??

Why do a barter with her? Cut her yard for free? Decide what you want to pay her for it, then say I will do your yard for you until the mower is paid off. If you get into winter then you can do her snow till it is paid then start charging her for your service again.

By old do you know about what year it is? Offer 100 and see what she says if it is fairly new. If not go a little lower.
