Needing to figure out how much topsoil I would need on an estimate. 4200 square feet needs to be brought up aproximately 6", so thats 78 yards or so. How many single axle (10' bed) loads would that be? Thanks

our F450s with a 9' bed can carry about 3-4 yards legally. they have a 15000lb gvwr.

Usually a larger triaxle dump with an 80000lb gvwr from a supply yard would deliver about 25-30 yards depending on how dry the soil is.

You didn't specify what type of truck or its gvwr, so I can only give you a suggestion based on what we use.

In Joisey, due to 80000# weight limitations, they can legally fit 17.5-18 cu. yds tops. Theyll try to tell you its 20 yds... its not

    F-550 (3-4yds)
    F-750 (6-7yds)
    10-wheeler (12-14yds)
    Tri-axle (17-20yds) 20 usually requires overweight permits
