how much would you pay for 30 residential accounts??
they are all good size and all about $30 per cut on a 10 day schedule
i've heard the equivalent of 4 mows for each...but that could be wrong
I think tops is right not worth much don't see how you can run a business on a 10 day schedule.
I would pay what the yards bring in one month
i have 30 other lawns just this guy is getting rid of 30 which he cuts every 10 days
in all reality what is the reason for the guy selling the accounts? Biggest think with buying is account is it is never an gurantee that you will keep the accounts. If youre going to purchase them make sure the other LCO sends a letter or something to the customers to know that you will be taking over and their current contract will be passed over to you.
Sometimes it just isnt worth buying the contracts youre looking at 3600 bux to purchase the accounts, plus you need to pay yourself/youg guys and fuel/maintenance on top of that. Youre probably looking at about laying 5grand out of pocket before you start getting a return back. Most people will tell you, find out what the accounts are and try and get them yourself... you can spend 5grand on some serious advertising and probably get more than 30accoutns out of it...
I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or if you're honestly thankful, thou I do suspect the former
But even thou what I said might have come across as smart, which, granted, I can see that.
And in case it was the latter, some more information might be helpful also.
Because what I meant to say was that I wouldn't go out on a limb and fork over a
bunch of cash to acquire a set of accounts I have little to no clue about.
It's like buying anything, so if I ask how much you would pay for a 5-year old
lawn mower of a good size with 1400 hours on it?
That's all I was getting at, I just get tired of typing it out all the time.
