I never go according to mileage, just when the change engine oil light comes on.

Think about it, its more on engine hours than mileage, and we have a lot of traffic to sit in down here.

Does anybody else do the same as me?

BTW its with a Chevy Vortec, normally towing a 4,000lb trailer.

i change when it tells me too, Gm has the oil life system on the newer vehicles that goes by engine rpms, heat, hours, and calculates itself, i run synthetic as well.

Every 2500 miles in my personal vehical, and two or three times a year in the work trucks, they only get about 3,000 mi a year, but they are hard hot miles.

Every 5,000 in the diesel. Heck, it holds 15 quarts so it ought to be good with that.:)
