I've never "switched" an oil filter, but I do change the filter at every oil change, and I change the oil when it gets dirty, not always at the same time length period.

change filter every time the oil is changed which is around 75-150

Depends on what it looks like

Replace oil filter at every oil change.

Oil change when it's dirty.......50-100 hours depending on conditions.

yup, warranties don't cover caramelized engines from lack of oil changes

I change oil about every 50hrs and only once left the filter on between changes. That was only because I was out of them. I figure it's cheaper than a new engine or rebuild.
