I just picked this one up today. It's a non-bbc, pre zone start Suzuki..I'm guessing mid 80's..
is it 4.5hp ?
I have no clue. I imagine it MIGHT be 4.5 hp.. But I don't know for sure. The dude owns a OPE repair shop, he said take it away.. Like I said, He said it may have tranny probs, but I bet the engine will run well with a little work, it's got excellent compression. Here's some more pix..
I'm just wondering how old it is because I hope I can still get any and all parts to fix the tranny, etc. I don't know If Toro does stupid stuff like changing parts around just for the heck of it, like Auto Mgfr's.
It's really not in too bad shape, and sure looks worth fixin'..
You should be able to get the exact age and engine make from this page. The older Toros are great mowers..let us know what you find out. I'm guessing 1980-83
You sure were close.. It's an 84'.. Cool! So I presume it is a 4.5 hp? I didn't even know the Suzuki was sold in more than one rating..
My brother ,bought one like that one in 89 rated at 5.0 .We used it in our business from 96 to 04.
I was close..it's an '84
