How Short do you mow ??
No lower than a 3 inch cut. on high end accounts to make the stripes stand out 4 inch sometimes 5 inches.
no lower than 3" ~~~ 3 1/2"
Centipede - 2.5"
St. Augustine - 3"
Bermuda - 1" to 2.5"
What kind of grass are you cutting? Sure you cut fescue 3 to 4 inchs... but you cut bermuda, zoysia, and st. augustine at a much lower level. What do you have in your area?
Last year i was cutting some at 5" we may cut allittle lower this season
Most of my accounts are fescue, and I cut them at 3 inches.
We got Kentucky Blue, Rye, and Fescue... cut them at 3" unless the customer really has a good reason for something different.
2.5", year round
Just under 3" measured on average. Our mowers say 4 1/4" on the height adjustment, on concrete.
