What are your opinions on how to charge for edging? Do you charge a flat hourly rate or do you charge by the linear foot. If you use the linear foot method, what is the average going rate? Thanks for any and all responses.

the price should be built in to the cost of the lawn...... not a seperate charge
i figure the time involved for the whole project ...

Hmmm... I just guess and aim for $90/hour or better b/c I hate it...

But, truth be told, I rarely take that kind of work on. If it's independent of mowing, I have no interest...

First 175 feet included with maintenance bid... after that 0.20 per foot.

i include it on my bid...the first time it will take longer, but once it is under control it shouldn't't take no time @ all...just my 2 cents......

Quality edging on every visit is one of the things that will set you apart from all the other lawn jockeys.

Included in price, never an extra charge.
