how to get rid of suckers???

    I ahve a customer who has many very tall rees in his yard, the look good but the roots are shooting suckers eveywhere. His lawn is coverered with them. Is there any way to control these?

    There isn't any good way except mow/trim them off. A chemical called Sucker stopper don't work and neither does growth control. Plant jasmine around trees and let it get about 12" tall and trim it.

    Trim them down as far as you can and then spray WD40 on them. Make sure it will not rain for 24 hours when you do it. I had some on my tree in front and did this at the begining of the season and they have not came back.
