how do you get the defined tire marks in your stripes? I seen in some pics you can clearly see where the tires drove, is it mowing the same way or something else?

Usually on any mower you will be able to see where the wheels went, they basically do the same thing as a striping kit does. It could be from mowing in the same direction (which shouldn't be done). Also the more the machine weighs the more defined of an imprint that is made.

if the tire marks are well defined, they dont change the pattern enough. hate when I get accounts like that and it takes a whole season to level the yard out

a ZTR will leave more defined tire marks than a Walk behind or 21''

IMO.... defined tire marks = rut.

A rut isn't something you want.

i agree with the above post! there is a company here that mows the same pattern EVERY time and they have heavy azz diesel mowers and i took over one of their accounts once and mowed it in a diff direction and it was horrible... over the years of mowing the same pattern it had created ruts in the yard. also not to mention i think it totally looks like CRAP!
