What have you guys used with great success to climb the curbs to be able to get up the ztr to mow those little stupid islands. I thought of ramps, but maybe the angle was too steep because the ones i USED the deck scraped pretty bad. I was thinking of something cheap that I could leave on site and if it got stolen, so what.

My ZTR's have rear tiller wheels, so backing up onto them is out of the kweschink. Either way, you have to go up at an angle so that you keep weight on the trailing wheel. Think about driving a Jeep across a ditch. You just can't do it at a 90 degree angle.

I have gone up backward at a 45 degree angle for years on curbs, but have encountered one that is a little taller and the soil heith inside the curb is lower than the curb so therefore the deck rubs more than I want. I was thinking of wood blocks cut at an angle.

We keep a few old bricks in the trailer toolbox... Helps the tires get up over the curb if it's too steep...
