How to keep hedge trimmer blades clean

    Bought a new stihl hedge trimmer. How do i keep the blades clean? They are gunked up from trimming. Thanks

    there is a hedge trimmer spray for the blades by stihl. the dealer you bought the trimmer from should have the spray...i cant remember the name, but i will check and let you know tmro

    I use Fluid Film on mine...works great!

    Stihl has a spray can oil similar to WD 40. I use it and the 40. You can scrape it with a wire brush as well. I spray the blades before I start cutting n have never had any problem.

    Yepp WD40 for me i have a full can of fluid film but never tried it but i should next time.

    Fluid Firm for 3 years, yet to have to clean the blades yet. It actually cleaned up all the crap off my old trusted Echo HC151.

    pretty much anything as long as you dont go and f up someones bushes because it's still on there.
