I'm in the process of purchasing a new toro proline 21". I've decided to go with the honda engine due to issues I've had in the last few years with kawasaki powered units. Only one big problem has emerged. Toro is not bringing in honda powered prolines to Canada this year. Hence, I'm left to chose from whatever is left from previous year's models. The only honda powered proline I've found in my area is a brand new 05 model that has BBC. The question I have is whether the BBC comprimises the mulching ablity of this unit? If it does, I won't go for it as I do a lot of mulching and the last thing I need is for this unit to be clumping and bogging down.

Any thoughts from those of you that have used the honda powered toro proline 21" would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I have a toro w/ honda engine without bbc. I prefer the non bbc for less weight, less stuff to break, and better cutting ability due to more airflow. I haven't used a bbc model but like my non bbc model.
