I am designing my yard for the summer. It is a 12 acre acreage. I have a 200' gravel road entering the yard, and i am considering paving it. It is on my yard only so, i am wondering how wide it "should be"? Would 12' be wide enough? Obviously it will widen near the garage and house, but for the initial 200'.....?

The true answer to that question really falls on how much do you want to spend on it, is one car width enough or do you want two cars to be able to pass one another? 12 feet sounds like a good width to me.

11' is a common typical width for a single car driveway. 12' is nicer.
