Forgive me if this has been asked before (I did search for the answer in the archives, but there is over 1300 posts on doubles), but is 20hp on a 61" deck enough to acheive desired cut results from running either doubles or Meg-Mo? Thanks...

I run doubles on my 61 inch deck. I have a 25 horse engine, and It still works hard. I notice the engine has less RPM's then when I run singles. High grass slows me down dramasticly too.

Like I said, this is with a 25 horse.

to the previous statement i made, they might work in regular summer or slow growth; but in heavy, lush, wet, spring growth they will not.

meg-mo's tend to fold back when the rpm's fall. in return they leave some MAJOR streaking, yesterday, i had to go over spots twice because of the issue of streaking in heavy spring growth.
