Has anybody had any problems with the Hunter ET System, specifically the rain gauge? I installed the sensors last August and every time it rained the rain gauge only registered 1/2 of the rain that fell. The sensor was stored inside for the winter. Now the rain sensor doesn't register any rain for 24hrs after a rain event. This morning it read .06" even though there was no dew and it hadn't rained in two days. Temperature, solar radiation, and humidity sensors appear to be functioning properly.

There is a self test feature that you can run to ck things out don't know that it cks the rain bucket ? Call Dennis at hunter technical support I am sure he can help.

Did Hunter pay you for your troubleshooting & re-install time?

Hunter hasn't paid me diddly squat for any of my warranty issues.
Yes I like their products but if these problems continue I will switch brands in a heartbeat to one that has better warranty procedures.
Anyone know if Rainbird or Weathermatic pays for warranty labor?

Rain Bird & Weather Matic have taken care of me...Rain Bird parts + labor, WM parts,
but lotsa solenoids. Hunter should step up & be a player if things go south.

I don't use much hunter products really just the couple et managers and some clocks .. I will not deal with john deere landscapes and that really is our only dist up here so i have been going straight through tech support and have not made a issue about labor reimbursement . I had figured that there would be a couple of problems with the system the first year but really wanted to get my feet wet with one right away . So to answer your question NO

I talked to Hunter rep today. They are sending me a new ET System in exchange for my defective one so that they can examine it to figure out what's wrong with it.

WM has had huge problems with their hencho en mexico solenoids.
They now say the problem is fixed, after four solenoid types failed.
WM should not only replace the solenoids nc, but give you credit for
time spent screwing around with this terrible f..k up on WM's part.
Weather Matic used to be a player; thanks to d.s. management,
they've become the wanna bees; resting on laurels that don't exist.
I'm having trouble not only with the SL clock, but solenoids that are
    six months in service.:hammerhead:
