If you have one how do you like it, how is the cut with the 4" deep deck.
w/ a 19 kohler. It's my first ZTR....cut 50 accounts this summer w/ it and 10 accounts last summer with it...along w/ my 3 acres. Although I think one handle/pump feels like its getting tight...or it's my paranoia about the pump going because everyone says the pumps don't last. But it lasted long enough to pay for itself 3X over so I'm happy with it. I will get a full tune up at the shop and see if they think it's going bad or just needs the fluid changed.
Any feedback on mulching with the Mini Z 42? -- John
are about as close as I come to mulching. I just mow and go...no extras. But as long as you cut the yards every 10 - 12 days in my area you don't need to mulch. But like I said....I just cater to the people who want their grass cut, nothing fancy.
Love it. I also use the Gator Blades and a chute blocker. Fantastic on St. Augustine grass. The only time I had power issues were on Bahaia grass during rainy season if the on top of septic drain fields. In that location the grass is twice as thick and I would sometimes have to double mow. On those properties, I wish I had a bigger motor, but most of the time the 19 is plenty of torque. I like it so much I will be adding a 54 / 27hp Super Z Next Spring.
Do you have the Mini Z 34-44" 19 kaw??
I think the 19hp on a 42" would probably be ok. A buddy just bought a new 42/19 and likes it alot.
I on the other hand bought a 52"/19 KAW Mini-Z. The cut is great, but the power is not there. My fault of course. I was just starting out and wanted an entry level commercial and got a smoking deal on it. Looking to replace before the 08 season, and will demo all again but looking at getting a 54"/25 Super Z XR-7.
You will like the super Z over what you have now big time.
