I have a small hydraulic cylinder ( from a toro greens mower ) that has a gland nut that i cant seem to figure out how to remove it. I need to rebuild it and i have the kit.
The gland nut does not have two holes in which you could insert a gland wrench, but it has part of the gland notched away. Any idea on how to remove it?
    thanks

If the notch is on the rim of the "nut", then you have to remove the wire that holds it in place. some have a tang that you can pull on with pliers, some dont.
