Anyone know if Home Depot carries the hydraulic oil required for a reversing tamper ? or can I just use any hydraulic oil ?

go to your local NAPA and they'll probably have what you need.

If its an old tamper that you dont care about, you could probably get away with usin transmission fluid.

our 'hydraulic oil' on our dingo is 20W something or other...I forget. Same with our scags. Its just a thicker motor oil. Check a website for the specs.
