    awm,

This is a good question. The answer is yes and no. All this depends on how hard you treat your equipment.

The dampers on the Lazers greatly reduce the spikes in our hydro systems. This helpful when you have all the attachments on a unit (bagger, ROP....) or operating in rough terrain.

One of the biggest reasons we have the dampers on the unit is to prevent turf damage. The dampers are just like a shock on a car, they smooth out the ride. This is helps you in turning, stopping, and taking off.

The other benefit of dampers is they help you in controlling the unit. They give the unit a smooth feel at sticks.

    Thanks, Fred.

    awm:

If one control is "much easier than the other" you may have a dampener going bad on that side. You might want to get this dampener replaced, because, as Fred said, the dampeners are important because they "greatly reduce the spikes in our hydro systems." The last thing you want to do is damage the pumps on your Lazer.

Just my two cents worth :D ,
