Is there any maintenance I need to do on it for mft? How long do you think the ezt will last?
Here is what your owners manual states......
"The Hustler FasTrak is equipped with two Hydro-Gear
EZT integrated pump/motor transmissions. Fig. 4-5
The EZT integrated pump/motor transmissions are sealed
for life and do not require any scheduled service.
The EZT integrated pump/motor transmissions are filled
with 20W50 engine oil. If they ever become low on oil, fill
to the level shown in Fig. 4-6."
As to the life of the EZT's, that is something that is going to vary with the amount of mowing your doing and type of terrain you are working on (hills / ditches..etc..etc...)
How often do I check the ezt oil and how?
There is a fill port on the top of the hydro assemblies, right next to the vent tube.
You remove the plug and make sure the oil is 3/4 to 1 1/2 inches from the top of the housing.
This really doesn't need to be checked unless you feel there is leak or there is evidence of a leak.
