I drained all the hydro oil from my gravely compact pro 44. There is a line that says "FULL COLD" near the bottom of the hydro oil tank. What does that mean? Do I only fill it up to that line because that doesn't seem like much and there would still be a lot of room in the tank. Thanks

That's the correct level in the tank when everything is cold from say, sitting overnight. They leave room in the tank for the oil to expand when it's hot (which you can bet it will do). A lot of tanks will say "full cold" at one mark (the lower one), and "full hot" at a second, higher mark.

yeah alot of them are set up that way. on my mower i've noticed the cold and hot level is exactly the same. it doesn't move. i've checked it in the morning before using it and then checked it after mowing all day and the level is exactly the same.

If you over fill a little it will spit out any extra.
